How to – Luxembourg genealogy – the census

Mom's camera 326Have you used decennial tables to determine where your family might be found? Now it’s time to check the census! The Luxembourg census lists, the members of the family, where the family lives, the husband’s job, and often the wife’s maiden name. Like the American census, it can be a huge help for locating vital records and confirming relationships.

Digital copies for census documents taken between 1843-1900 are available on the FamilySearch.org site. They have to be browsed by municipality (town), so make sure you know where to start!
