Five Things You Might Not Know About Using FamilySearch

FamilySearch is one of the major players in the genealogy market, but most people know very little about it. Here are five important facts you might not know.

1. Unlike many of the major genealogy websites, it’s free!
2. It has genealogy classes you can watch in your pajamas. To find them, click on “Get Help” and “Learning Center.”
3. The search form makes it easy to search a number of records from around the world.
4. But it doesn’t search everything. To browse records instead, click on “Browse all published collections” on the search page.
5. And there are plenty of digitized records that aren’t in the records section. Always check the catalog for your area of research…
