Have you always dreamed of taking individual classes with a professional genealogist? Do you have a brick wall you’d like a second set of eyes to review?
We are now offering individual classes and consultations via video conferencing! Take the opportunity to learn more about lineage society research, Connecticut genealogy, French language records, and more. Classes are being offered as one time consultations or extended courses. Curriculum will be developed based on your interests.
Here are a few possible topics to get you started:
- Connecticut Land Records: With no county record system, finding your ancestor’s records means knowing how to determine what land the town was located in, and then how to access the records.
- Connecticut Vital Records: When did Connecticut keep birth, death and marriage records? How do you find them? What do you do if they don’t exist?
- Building a lineage society application: Do you want to apply to a lineage society? What ancestors will qualify you? What records do you need to gather?
- Working with a French baptism – when you don’t read French: Learning enough language to decode a baptismal certificate may be easier than you think.
